Okay, so J-pop had announced they're going to reprint 'X' in Italy.
Why anyone out of Italy should care about this?
Apparently J-pop had been assured by Kadokawa and CLAMP's manager the series will be finished soon, or at least in time not to force J-pop to pause while printing it (which would mean, according to the tentative schedule given, that they need the new volumes ready for 2012... end of the world anyone? -_-).

Now, although this is a great new, I would like to know if someone can confirm J-pop's declaration about CLAMP being finally ready to end 'X'.
So, does anyone know something?

It's my first time posting on here! I've been busy lately, and as much as I want to follow this comm, I keep forgetting! >.< I'll do my best to catch up~

For my first contribution, I'd like to share my Hakuren cosplay, debuted at Youmacon 2009. ^_^ I also wore this for my school's November Cosplay Club gathering and when we went to get something to eat afterwards (still dressed) some random guy came up to me and asked if I was Hakuren. He said he'd seen every episode of the anime~ I was thrilled that he knew who I was because none of my friends or club members (to me knowledge) read or watch 07-Ghost.

Frau has made it into the finals! *squee* Now he needs our help again. Please go and vote for him! He's in group 2 this time with not even 10%/43 votes.

Title: How to Save a Life

Summary: At age 21, Lavi finally convinces Bookman to let him study at Cambridge. Though weighed down with a heavy courseload, he is secure in his resolve to be a Bookman, but his new roommate, an obviously traumatized Kanda Yuu, begins to change that.

Note: This is another let's-see-how-much-shit-we-can-put-Kanda-through story, so if you don't want heavy angst/depression, we suggest you don't read.

So I'm not sure if I mentioned this on an entry or not- I know I mentioned it to some people over IM- but my grandfather has been visiting this weekend. This is the husband of my grandma that died a little while ago. It was his birthday Friday so we invited him up here so he wouldn't be lonely. He hasn't been up here in at least two years; my grandma hasn't been well enough to make the trip (~6/7 hours driving).

The visit has been pretty good so far. He's a bit, uh, talkative and longwinded, but. xD He's always been that way, though I think its gotten worse lately. I guess he doesn't have anyone at home to talk to anymore, so its understandable. Doesn't make it less irritating.

Today we took an afternoon trip up to Dahlonega because he wanted to see the fall colors and walk around the town. So that was nice; I hadn't been up there in a while. :)

As far as fandom stuff goes, it's really pathetic how far behind I am on springkink stuff. Muse, come back? I love yooooou. *pleeeeads* Ah well. I'm determined to write something, even if its like 20 days late. O_O xD;;

The sign-ups for the ficathon I'm running over at shun_uki runs out tonight, and after I posted a reminder post I got two more people signing up. : D So that makes 7 people! 8 if you count me >D;; Still, if there's anyone else on the flist that'd like to sign up, you so should. :) Fics aren't due 'til last week of January.

(Also, I've figured out why there are so little ShunUki AU fics compared to other ships xD Writers for ShunUki tend to not like them. No idea why. But more than half the people signed up for the ficathon have specifically said they don't like AUs. D: Made me sad. xDD; Ah well.)

This is my first year doing Yuletide, and I gather it's helpful to have a post letting you know more details about stuff I like/don't like, in case you'd like some more guidance.

I don't care about het/slash/gen, anything is fine (except the Junjou Romantica request, but if you're writing for that it's a safe bet you're okay with writing slash anyway ^_^). I prefer no outright rape, though dub-con and rape fantasies are fine. I enjoy angst as long as nobody dies and the story ends on a happy - or at least upbeat and hopeful - note. I really don't handle depressing stories well, and I won't read a deathfic at all.

I'd rather have a story with a bit of plot and lots of interesting character interaction than one that is all about the smut. Plot, character interaction and smut are of course awesome together. I love stories that show the deeper side of a character; why they are the way they are, and what parts of them are hidden from other people. I'm not fond of outright crack, though humour is fine as a part of the story and not the whole.

I hope this helps, and I'm sure that I will love whatever you write no matter what it is. Happy writing, and merry Yuletide!

Sometimes I just don't know how to say, "No."

About a month ago, the ladies that were suddenly taking over the church's Home Tour asked me to Decorate a 3' tall Christmas Tree for their silent auction. The money from the Tour and all the proceeds go to about a dozen different local charities. The OUR Center being a big benefactor, but there are also women's groups, children's support, and a bunch of other missions that we help out with.

Jet was on another origami kick, and he unwittingly dragged me along with him, and I decided to do the whole tree in origami ornaments, and do a knitted scarf in red as the skirting underneath. I think the tree's due tomorrow, and I'm still knitting, but the other bits can be seen in a little flickr album here. A few highlights were the umpteen piece dodecahedron, a couple of traditional Japanese chrysanthemum constructs with various types of stoppers, and some frogs and fishes for luck along with a few dozen traditional cranes in various types of paper.

Part of the insanity is that this morning John found out that our wireless hub had broken down completely. It was dead. We have a "only replace dead things" sort of policy right now for most of our big expenditures, and we only upgrade when we replace. The price on the N protocol wireless is now very, very good, so he simply replaced the hub. The upstairs computer is hardwired to our Internet connection. My replacement machine has the new protocol built in, and we only had to buy a plug in dongle for the laptop, so we're all good now, and the upload and download speeds are now phenomenal. I'm... amazed.
